Homemade Black and white sesame seed bar
Simple homemade Black and white sesame seed bar recipe/ellu mittai
This is one of the traditional recipes of tamilnadu. This is my favorite recipe, I usually have them during any special occasions. The authentic one is usually made with black sesame seeds(karuppu ellu ).Usually black sesame seeds are mainly used in tamilnadu(oil extracted from it is highly consumed in this state of india).Sesame seed balls/laddu(ellu urundai)is one of the authentic sweets made in south indian festivals.Mainly black is used but then both black and white sesame seeds taste good.In this post you will find the procedure to make this sesame seed bars which has the same steps to follow where I have made black and white sesame seeds separately. So Let's start making!

- If you want to make them in to balls hold them and shape it before they turn chill or if you are gonna make them like bars allow them to cool (even keep them in freezer to make it more firmer).

Pro tip:If you want them to be nice and soft grind them after dry roast and add raw jaggery powder without heating and grind it again. Now press the powder with your palm and make them in to balls.
