If you love those soft and moist cinnamon buns,I will give you the best recipe in this post.In this cinnamon roll recipe i have  made it without eggs and the recipe has from the scratch(i.e.,from prepping dough)if you want to you can buy dough outside and continue with the recipe.The best option is to make the dough ready the previous night itself as to avoid the prepping time.Ok,without wasting much time we will start with the recipe...

INGREDIENTS:

For dough:

  • 2 and 1/4 cups of maida(all purpose flour)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 cup of sugar(granulated)
  • 2 and 1/4 teaspoons of yeast(instant yeast is used in this recipe)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter(melted)
  • 1/4 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoons of baking soda

For Filling:

  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3 cubes of butter(take 3 tablespoon fulls)

For Glazing (optional):

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoons vanilla essence 
  • 1 tablespoon milk

For prep:

  • Mix milk,sugar and yeast and set aside for 10 minutes for the yeast to prove.
  • Preheat oven  to 180c.

METHOD:

For dough:

  • Mix maida,baking soda,baking powder and salt.
  • Add oil and butter to the flour mix and mix them gently.
  • Now add the yeast mixture to the flour and gently knead with your hand
  • cover the dough and keep it aside in a warm place and allow it to rise for 1-1 1/2 hours.

For filling :

  • Mix cinnamon powder,brown sugar and butter and keep it aside

Making cinnamon rolls:

  • Roll the dough and make them in to a rectangle (roughly 24in*18in)
  • Neatly spread the filling on the top of the rectangle-dough
  • Roll the dough from the longer side and seal the end tightly by pinching it to the dough surface.
  • Now cut the long roll in to 10-15 slices.
  • Place the roll in a butter paper lined baking tray 
  • Let them rise for another 40 minutes
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven until the surface of the dough turns out to the beautiful golden brown colour.
Pro tip:don't roll the dough tightly and you can also try  cutting  the roll in 10-15 slices before applying the filling and then you can spread the filling and roll them .
These rolls are so delicious without the glazing itself.


For glazing(optional):

  • Mix vanilla essence,milk and sugar and make them ready.
  • apply them on the top of the cinnamon rolls
Delicious cinnamon rolls are ready to serve!!!.
