Bitter gourd fries / chips



I know bitter gourd sucks! Literally..but it has many health benefits ..I want to eat that but I seriously can't ......Hence  I  discovered a method to make this bitter gourd less suck and taste better enough to have it in my mouth while chewing  is making fries out of it!!.Yes!! seriously it was much better after making them according to the recipe below!!In this recipe I would have used small bitter gourds(which has less bitteryness than the big one) you can also use the big bitter gourd .So without any delay Let's start cooking!!!.

INGREDIENTS


  • 10-15 Bitter Gourds (small one)
  • 1-2 tablespoons of Gram flour
  • 1 tablespoon of Rice flour
  • 1 tablespoon of Corn flour
  • 1 teaspoon of Cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoon of Red chili powder
  • 2 teaspoon of Coriander powder
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of Turmeric powder
  • Salt as per your taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Water and 2 tablespoon oil to mix while making mix(dough bitter gourd mix)
Protip:use hot oil to mix while making the mix.
Dont add water lavishly,JUST SPRINKLE !!!



METHOD

  • Slice the bitter gourd well.It should not be too thick or too thin.
  • Now add all the dry ingredients i.e,gram flour,corn flour,rice flour,chili powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,salt,cumin powder ,salt and sliced bitter gourd.
  • Mix them well and sprinkle some water and oil to make sure the flour mix sticks with the bitter gourd.
  • Now heat the oil for frying.
  • Add the well coated bitter gourd slices and fry until they become golden brown in colour.
  • Your tasty bitter gourd chips is ready to eat!!!

Protip:Fry thin nicely on both the sides!!!Don't add to much of water or oil it will make the mix to soggy!
