First of all wishing you a very happy new year.So on this new year's eve i'm going to share Vermicelli kheer recipe.Which is my most favorite dish of all time.It was the first recipe I learnt to make and I still make them on all occasions.So let me tell you it is very simple and easy to make.It just takes 3-4 ingredients and few minutes but lasts forever in your heart๐๐.Yeah so let's start making...

INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup of Vermicelli
- 2 1/2 cup of Milk
- 1/2 cup of Sugar
- Almonds/cashews/pistachios
- cardamom powder
- Ghee
- A pinch of salt
METHOD
- In a hot pan add ghee and roast vermicelli until it turns brown.
- after roasting them add milk to the pan and allow it to boil.
- when the milk starts to boil stir them occasionally and add sugar.
- Now the milk starts to thicken.so keep stirring.
- If you want the kheer to be liquidy switch off the flame and take it at this stage or allow it to thicken more and make it like a pudding.It's up to you..
- Add powdered cardamom and mix it well.
- Fry grated cashews in ghee and add it along with the kheer and mix it.
- Now place them in a bowl and garnish it with grated almonds or cashews or pistachios.
- Serve it hot or keep it in the freezer for a chill dessert .
Pro tip:Saffron is optional if you want you can add it.Add full fat milk to get creamy kheer.
