Simple Pizza dough recipe (pizza crust)



In this post I will share with you the simple,easy and the best pizza dough recipe.You just need 6 ingredients and it takes only 5-6 secs to knead and 30 minutes to rise.So yes,Let's start making!!

INGREDIENTS:


  • 2 cups maida(all purpose flour)
  • 2 1/4 teaspoon yeast (instant yeast used)
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 table spoon oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water (luke warm water)
  • basil leaves(dried)-optional

METHOD:

  • part the flour in to two portions.(125g-125g)
  • Mix flour,yeast and sugar in a large bowl.after mixing them well add salt,dried basil and garlic powder.
  • Add oil and warm water to the flour mixture and stir them well (wooden spoon is better).
  • now add the second portion of the flour to this dough mix.stir them well until the dough becomes elastic and sticky.
  • drizzle a generous amount of oil in a separate bowl and spread the oil nicely on all sides(inside of the bowl).
  • now slightly dust the dough and place it in the oil drizzled bowl and drizzle some more oil on top of the ball like dough.
  • place them aside in a warm place and allow it to rise.
  • Preheat oven  to 215c.
  • after the dough has risen well transfer to the dusted or floured surface(i use my kitchen counter )
  • knead them gently for 5-6 secs.
  • use a rolling pin or you hand(better) and make them in to a nice 12" circle or something that looks close to a circular shape.
  • Place the dough in a pizza tray or pan with butter paper lined or simply flour dusted surface.
  • Fold or thicken the edges of the dough to give them the crust shape.
  • drizzle some more oil on top and spread them nicely.
  • use a skewer stick or fork to poke holes on the crust surface to avoid bubbling up of the surface.
  • Bake them at 215c preheated oven for 10-15 mins(with your desired toppings!!)

    Pro tip: for a healthier version of the crust use wheat flour.Wheat flour gives a crispy crust and maida will give you soft crust.
    use cornflour to dust the crust dough before placing them in the baking tray to get the best crispy crust.
