What is a Bullet journal

Bullet journal

I love being organized and always want to be on the track of everything that I have to do. so I usually use a to-do list (I mean a paperback one I will also use digital todolist but then analog will always be satisfying😇)to keep a track on the task that I have to do. But then I came across the word bullet journal and was like Woah!! what was that?!!!????... I started searching for it and found that it was nothing different from what I was doing before. Bullet journal is nothing but a notebook(basically it can be any notebook, it can even be your half-used notebook!) Which can be used to maintain your schedules, events, important dates, shopping list, tasks or anything that you would like to keep a note on it.Bullet journal was first  developed by Ryder carroll.

The actual meaning of that name "bullet journal" is keeping your journals*in a bullet list format.

Your bullet journal is actually a combination of a todolist and a planner diary). bullet journals are productivity tools. Having a bullet journal will always remind you of the task that you have to complete. This method can actually improve your productivity to the next level as you will always be on track of everything. Important point-they are always personalized and 100% customizable.

Types:

You have two types in bullet journal.

  • Traditional bullet journalling
  • Rapid logging

👈TRADITIONAL METHOD

RAPID LOGGING👉

-Traditional is the old method where we use the checkbox to tick on the things we have completed. It has notes section which is basically composed of long sentences (if in case any description required for your task it will be added in this notes section).

-Rapid logging is making everything into a short-term (something like a hint about the task or event with important things to remember about that..for example, meeting with patrika@5pm-coffee shop )which is less time consuming and more practical. The task, event, and notes are given with different symbols for identification.

For this method, you will have to make a key in a separate page. A key is nothing but a table which contains which symbols mean what. If you are giving different symbol for your Tasks, events, and activities then mention them in your key. keeping a key will highly help you out when you are stuck or confused with symbols.

The major difference from the to-do list is that you are not striking things off as you complete. which makes it clear for you to go through it again.
