In this post i will let you know the easy and simple method to make the best veg pizza.I have already made a post on how to make pizza dough/crust recipe.Check it out for making pizza from scratch.In this i will help you in making pizza sauce and toppings that can go best for the mixed veg style.So Let's start baking!!

INGREDIENTS:


For pizza dough:how to make pizza dough/crust


For pizza sauce:


  • 400gm tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 2 garlic cloves(minced)
  • 1 teaspoon italian herb mix or 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon oil

For toppings:

  • 250gm mozzarella cheese 
  • 1 cup of mixed veggies (onions,capsicum or bell pepper,olives,tomatoes and mushroom)
  • 1/2 teaspoon italian herb mix or oregano
  • 1/2-1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes

METHOD:

Pizza sauce preparation:

  • Heat oil in a pan and saute garlic until it is golden brown
  • Add red chili flakes and onions to it.
  • Add tomato puree(extract),salt and sugar .
  • Add herb mix or oregano.
  • Mix them well and stir until the sauce thickens.

Pizza:


  • Preheat the oven to 240c for 20 mins.
  • place the flatten pizza on the oil drizzled pan that is dusted with flour.
  • Place the dough in oven heat it for 5-6 mins and take it out.
  • Sprinkle some oil and spread it over the crust.
  • Add pizza sauce as the first layer and spread it nicely.
  • Layer the veggies as desired and add cheese generously.
  • Sprinkle herbs and chilli flakes on top of the pizza.
  • Bake them for around 10-12 mins until the cheese melts.
Slice them and serve it .

Variations with toppings for different pizza varieties:





Three cheese pizza:

  • Add mozzarella ,parmesan and cheddar cheese
  • Layer the shredded cheese generously  on top op the crust
  • Bake them until the cheese melts .



Three Pepper pizza :


  • Add three types of bell pepper(yellow,green and red)
  • Add the chopped pepper on top of the crust.
  • Bake them for around 15-20 mins.








Pro tip:for best results follow the crust recipe as in how to make pizza dough/crust.Choose organic maida or better to opt for a good quality wheat flour.
Dust your dough and pan with corn flour for crispy crust layer.
